Ingersoll Rand Plc, a leading global manufacturer of air-conditioning systems, has entered into an agreement to acquire FRIGOBLOCK fom its founder Peter Grosskopf. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2015, subject to regulatory approval. The transaction value amounts to EUR 100 million.

FRIGOBLOCK was founded in 1978, and quickly developed to a strong manufacturer of transport refrigeration units in Germany. The name FRIGOBLOCK became the brand name for unsurpassed powerful, environmentally friendly and cost-saving transport refrigeration units.
