Franz Lenzen will join Dentons’ Frankfurt office on 1 January 2016. His mandate will be to develop the Employment practice in close cooperation with the existing German team led by Partners, Utz Andelewski and Markus Diepold. Lenzen also brings significant experience in the logistics, banking and healthcare sectors.
Frank Lenzen started his professional career with Linklaters. During his 15 years of employment law practice, he has advised clients on employment law issues at the interface of corporate law, especially in relation to M&A transactions, co-determination rights, and complex restructuring. He has worked extensively in the logistics industry – where he advised clients such as Acciona Airport – and in the banking sector.
Tomasz Dabrowski, CEO Dentons Europe, commented: “As the largest economy in the EU, Germany is one of Dentons’ priority growth markets. With Frank Lenzen joining us, we are taking one more step in offering the wider range of services that our clients expect.”
Andres Ziegenhagen, Managing Partner Germany, added: “In the framework of our growth strategy in Germany, the expansion of our Employment practice is of crucial importance. Frank Lenzen is the perfect fit to strengthen our existing core capabilities in the Frankfurt office.”
Frank Lenzen commented on his decision to join Dentons: “I was attracted by Dentons’ development over the past year and its future growth prospects. Joining Dentons will allow me to provide my clients with a full-service offer combined with global reach. I am looking forward to cooperating with the growing Employment team in Germany and with other practice groups.”
With this hire, Dentons will grow to 32 partners in Germany, and the Employment Law practice will encompass nine lawyers.
Lenzen is the tenth new partner to join Dentons since January 2015. Regulatory lawyer, Bernd Geier, recently started in the Frankfurt office. In September, corporate lawyer Thomas Schubert and recognized public procurement lawyers, Wolfram Krohn and Peter Braun, joined Dentons along with their team. In May, two partners started in Frankfurt: Christoph Papenheim and his team, as well as Bernhard Gemmel who rejoined Dentons after two years. Matthias Santelmann, Rainer Markfort and Arne Friel joined Dentons in Berlin earlier in the year.
