DWF has advised AAMP of America, a global supplier of a broad spectrum of car audio integration technologies as well as aftermarket audio accessories and mobile audio/video components, on its acquisition of the Armour Automotive division of consumer electronics group Armour Group plc for an aggregate purchase price of £10.9 million. AAMP of America is a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity.
The Armour Automotive business comprises operating companies in England, Sweden and Norway and is a leading consumer electronics group within the home and in-car communication and entertainment markets through brands including Autoleads, iO, Radiomobile and Veba. The acquisition of Armour Automotive helps to build AAMP of America into a global platform, expanding its product offering into the European and OEM markets.
