30 Jun 2014

Leading International law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, is advising Spire Healthcare Group on its proposed IPO and London premium listing, which was announced this morning

Spire Healthcare Group is the second largest operator in the UK private independent acute healthcare sector by revenue with 39 private hospitals and 13 clinics across England, Wales and Scotland.

The proposed IPO will comprise an offer of new ordinary shares and the sale of a portion of Spire Healthcare Group's existing ordinary shares held by Cinven and members of senior management. In addition to an institutional offer, the proposed IPO will involve a consultant and staff offer to eligible consultants and staff in the UK. It is expected that admission will take place in July 2014 and that, following admission, the company will be included in the FTSE UK indices.

The Freshfields team is being led by Mark Austin, Doug Smith and David Higgins, assisted by senior associates Emma Mahler and Victoria Sigeti and associate Kyle Miller.
