DLA Piper has advised Catella Real Estate AG (Catella) on the acquisition of a property in Munich from Allgemeine SÜDBODEN Grundbesitz AG. DLA Piper has recently also advised Catella on the acquisition of a speciality shopping centre in Nuremberg/Boxdorf as well as a property in the Munich district of Pasing.

The property is located in Claudius-Keller-Strasse on the “neue balan” campus in Munich and has a total rentable floor space in excess of 5,500 square metres. In 2009, the building underwent redevelopment and conversion. It is currently let on a long-term basis to the Mediadesign Hochschule für Design und Informatik GmbH, a university of design and information technology.

Allgemeine SÜDBODEN Grundbesitz AG was founded in 1998 and invests in commercially oriented real estate for its own portfolio and acquires properties with development potential as long-term investments. The real estate portfolio currently comprises office, logistics and retail properties with a rentable floor space in excess of 200,000 square metres and more than 300 tenants.
