Law firm Eversheds advised Places for People Group (PfP) on its acquisition of ZeroC, a sustainable residential developer active across the UK.
ZeroC focuses on designing new and sustainable communities in conjunction with significant landowners, including the Homes & Communities Agency and The Duchy of Cornwall.
PfP is one of the largest property management, development and regeneration companies in the UK, owning or managing 148,000 homes, with assets in excess of £3 billion. The acquisition represents a significant development in PfP’s strategy of increasing its house building capacity and also marks the sixth corporate transaction undertaken by Eversheds on behalf of PfP during 2014.
The team was led by partner Paul Pugh with support from Shelley Page and Richard Franklin (corporate), Richard Woodhead (HR), Eve England (commercial), Michelle Lamb (insurance) and Colin Askew/Hannah Kelly (tax). Kevin Booth led the property due diligence team.
