DLA Piper has advised Wipro Digital, the digital business unit of Wipro Limited, on the acquisition of Designit, an award winning and global strategic design firm specialising in designing transformative product-service experiences.
This investment marks a further stage in Wipro's move to evolve the digital offer it takes to market, combining its reputation and heritage in deep engineering and transformative technology with human centred-design methods. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to be closed in the current quarter.
DLA Piper led the deal from London with support from its lawyers in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain and Japan. Horten (Denmark) and Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (Israel) also provided support on the transaction.
Anu Balasubramanian, partner in the UK Corporate team at DLA Piper who led the transaction, said: "We are delighted to have assisted a global client such as Wipro on a strategic acquisition which showcased DLA Piper's international capabilities and ability to deliver on a transaction across various geographies and practice areas within a very tight timetable."
