NautaDutilh assisted medical devices supplier Lohmann and Rauscher (L&R) entity with the acquistion of N.V. Varitex.

Varitex has been developing, producing and marketing compression stockings and other products under the brand of the same name, Varitex, on the Dutch market since its founding in 1947. In addition, Varitex also manufactures a range of private label products, for which it is already a long-term supplier of the British L&R subsidiary Activa Healthcare Ltd. The transaction value was undisclosed.

Alongside its headquarter in Haarlem (Development, Production and Sales), Varitex also operates a second site in Teebic, Czech Republic (Production), and employs a total of more than 50 employees, all of whom will be kept on by L&R. In 2015, the Dutch company recorded a turnover of approximately €6 million.
