08 Feb 2018

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised EQT VII portfolio company Piab, a Sweden-based vacuum pump developer, on the acquisition of FEBA AUTOMATION & Modulare Systeme GmbH (FEBA Automation).

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. FEBA Automation is a German-based developer and producer of robotic gripping solutions for customers in the manufacturing industry. EQT VII portfolio company Piab was founded in 1951 and offers a wide assortment of vacuum ejectors, suction cups, vacuum conveyors and accessories for automated factory processes. The company was acquired by EQT in January 2016 and, with over 65 years of experience, is a market leader in its core segment and operates in around 70 countries through a network of subsidiaries and distributors.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was co-led by partners Hendrik Roehricht (Frankfurt) and Jan Jensen (Stockholm) and included partners Bodo Bender, Frank-Karl Heuchemer and Holger Wolf (all Frankfurt), counsel Andreas Klein (Frankfurt) and associates Jan Ole Eichstaedt, Micha Gersdorf, Natalia Ilyevich (all Frankfurt), Patrik Erblad, Alex Ydstie (both Stockholm), Sebastian Stuetze (Hamburg) and Anne-Sophie von Koester (Frankfurt).
