Infinis and principal shareholder, Terra Firma - proposed initial public offering

22 Oct 2013

Slaughter and May is advising Infinis and its principal shareholder, Terra Firma, on its intention to proceed with an initial public offering of its ordinary shares, as announced on 21 October 2013.

Infinis is the leading independent renewable energy generator in the UK and the third largest generator of renewable power produced under the Renewables Obligation regime in the UK. It is the largest generator of electricity from landfill gas in the UK and one of the leading UK onshore wind generators.

Shares in a new holding company of Infinis will be offered to institutional investors in the UK and elsewhere, and to intermediaries in the UK who will facilitate the participation of their retail clients in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Application will be made for the shares to be admitted to the premium listing segment of the Official List and to trading on the main market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange. The offer will comprise the sale of a portion of ordinary shares held by Terra Firma.

Slaughter and May is working as a team with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP who are advising on U.S. law.
