P+P advised ECE European Prime Shopping Centre Fund II (total amount of EUR 500m.)

The first closing of the ECE European Prime Shopping Centre Fund II was successfully completed on 13 October 2014 with a total investment of about EUR 500m.  P+P Pöllath + Partners provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to the fund management, the ECE Real Estate Partners.

Shareholders of Aedifica, a Belgian listed real estate player specialising in residential real estate (senior housing in Belgium and Germany and apartment buildings in Belgium’s main cities), approved the change of status from a “public real estate investment company” (“openbare vastgoedbevak / sicafi publique”) to a “public regulated real estate company” (“openbare gereglementeerde vastgoedvennootschap / société immobilière réglementée publique”).

US $2 billion Punta Catalina Coal Fired Power Project, Dominican Republic

Davis Polk advised Construtora Norberto Odebrecht S.A. in connection with the construction and joint venture arrangements for the design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of two “clean coal” fired thermoelectric power plants to be located in Punta Catalina, Hatillo, in the Dominican Republic. The power plants are being constructed on behalf of Corporación Dominicana de Empresas Eléctricas Estatales. The Project has been undertaken as a solution to the country’s electricity shortages and high energy prices.

Shareholders of Warehouses De Pauw (WDP), a Belgian listed pan-European real estate player specialised in logistics and semi-industrial property, have approved the change of status from a “public real estate investment company” (“openbare vastgoedbevak / sicafi publique”) into a “public regulated real estate company” (“openbare gereglementeerde vastgoedvennootschap / société immobilière réglementée publique”).

BLP advises Stenham Property on its sale of interests in properties to new venture Stenprop

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has acted for Stenham Property on the sale of interests in properties with a value of approximately €667m to Stenprop Limited (formerly known as GoGlobal Properties Limited), a vehicle listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange’s AltX market.

The transaction also included the acquisition of related property management businesses previously servicing funds managed by Stenham and GoGlobal.

White & Case Advises Unibail-Rodamco on Major Lease for Space in Majunga Tower

White & Case LLP advised Unibail-Rodamco, the commercial property company, on a long term lease agreement with AXA Investment Managers for the first 18 floors of Majunga tower.

Majunga is located in La Défense and the space will be available to AXA Investment Managers in 2015.
