Shoosmiths advises SIG plc on £29.7 million sale of construction fixings distributor

National law firm Shoosmiths has advised SIG plc, a leading European supplier of specialist building products, on the sale of VJ Technology (VJT).

VJT, a distributor of technical fixings, fasteners and consumables to the infrastructure, commercial and wider construction industry, was sold for £29.7 million to Primary Capital, a UK private equity investment firm. The sale is in line with SIG's medium-term divestment strategy of disposing of smaller, non-core businesses in order to refocus the group's portfolio and strengthen its balance sheet.

Mayer Brown advises Webhelp SAS on acquisition of Sellbytel Group

Mayer Brown advised has Webhelp SAS on the acquisition of all shares of the Sellbytel Group.

The Webhelp Group is a portfolio company of the leading American investment company, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P (KKR). The seller is the global operating agency group, BBDO, which is based in New York. The transaction is still subject to the approval of antitrust authorities, and the parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Hogan Lovells represented Greystar Real Estate Partners (Greystar) in its recently announced entry into a merger agreement for the acquisition of EdR, one of the nation's largest developers, owners and managers of high-quality collegiate housing communities, by a newly-formed, perpetual-life fund, Greystar Student Housing Growth and Income Fund, LP, which is an affiliate of Greystar.
