Cadwalader and Bremond Advise on €1.3 Billion French Fashion Firm Restructuring

WFW advises Platina on Spanish photovoltaic plant restructuring

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised leading international energy fund Platina Partners LLP (“Platina”) on the restructuring of its Anemoi Cantillana (Seville) photovoltaic plant via a loan from Unicredit (London branch). WFW has also recently advised Platina on the restructuring of its photovoltaic plants at Morón (Seville) and Mesa de Ocaña (Toledo), also financed by Unicredit (London branch). The combined installed capacity of the three plants is 20 MW.

Sainty Marine Corporation Ltd. (Sainty Marine)’s bankruptcy reorganisation on which King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) counselled was named a Top 10 Civil/Administrative Suit of 2016 by the People's Court Daily. It is not only the first case where the Supreme People's Court and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) consulted with each other, but also the first case where reorganisation of a publicly-listed company and restructuring of its major assets were simultaneously conducted.

Stephenson Harwood has advised on two transactions recognised as 'Deals of the Year' at the 2016 Asian Lawyer Emerging Markets Awards.

The firm advised Indonesian shipping company PT Berlian Laju Tanker on its restructuring, which was awarded 'finance deal of the year: insolvency' and advised Digicel Group on the sale of a 75 percent stake in Digicel Asian Holdings which received the 'M&A deal of the year: TMT' award.

New York, 16 December 2016 – Hogan Lovells represents the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Delaware Chapter 11 cases of Abeinsa Holdings Inc., et al., U.S. subsidiaries of Spanish renewable-energy company Abengoa S.A., in a first-of-its-kind, complex worldwide restructuring. That restructuring involves proceedings in Spain, and in U.S. bankruptcy courts in Delaware, Missouri and Kansas.

Wiersholm advises Olympic

Olympic Shipping AS has obtained the required support for a restructuring, according to a stock exchange notification of 9 December.

In this respect, Wiersholm will act as legal adviser to Olympic. The restructuring involves the establishment of a subsea structure, Olympic Subsea, and NOK 400 million in new equity will be raised from current Olympic owners and new investors.

Valartis Group AG emerges from composition moratorium following financial recovery

In its judgment of 17 November 2016, the Cantonal Court of Zug terminated the composition moratorium of Valartis Group AG following its successful financial recovery. Valartis Group AG was the first listed entity in Switzerland which operated under the protection of a non-public (silent) provisional moratorium of four months. It was subsequently granted a public definitive moratorium for an aggregate of 12 months by the Cantonal Court of Zug. The most recent judgment terminates the proceedings in Switzerland and allows Valartis Group AG to continue operating as a going concern.
