Hogan Lovells Advises KBR, Inc. in its Acquisition of Government Services Provider Wyle Inc.

NORTHERN VIRGINIA, 26 May 2016 – Hogan Lovells advised KBR, Inc., a global technology, engineering, procurement and construction company serving the hydrocarbons and government services industries, in its $US600 million acquisition of Wyle Inc., a leading provider of specialized engineering and other services primarily to the U.S. government.
Together the two companies will provide full service capabilities for aerospace and defense programs, from research and development, test and evaluation, to operations, maintenance and field logistics.

Lammhults acquires Ragnars Inredningar

Lammhults Design Group AB (publ) has acquired all shares in the furniture design company Ragnars Inredningar AB.

Ragnars Inredningar, with its main office and production located in Forserum near Jönköping, Sweden, is a manufacturer of designed office furniture for public spaces.

Lammhults Design Group is one of Sweden's most prominent furniture design companies with an annual turnover of over SEK 730 million and approximately 350 employees. Lammhults Design Group's B-shares are listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange's Nordic Small Cap list.

Bär & Karrer Advises The Kusnacht Practice on the Acquisition of a Controlling Stake in Double Check

The Kusnacht Practice AG, a portfolio company of the Capital 36 group of companies, has acquired 67% of the share capital of Double Check Ltd, the Swiss Academic Center for Checkups and Second Opinions.
 
Bär & Karrer acted as legal and tax advisor to the Capital 36 group. Irwin Mitchell Advises TeleData On 1st Easy Acquisition

TeleData UK, a leading independent data centre operator and colocation service provider, has acquired 1st Easy as part of its expansion plans.

Established in 1999, 1st Easy, which has offices in Congleton and Manchester, is a cloud and hosting service provider. TeleData will use the deal to integrate its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and a number of other hosting products into its wider offering.

Vinge advises Canadian Plasman Group and its owner Insight Equity on its acquisition of Plastal Industri AB.

Dentons advises Marshall Motor Holdings on largest motor retail deal in the UK for a decade

Dentons has advised Marshall Motor Holdings plc (Marshall), the AIM-listed motor dealer group with over 100 franchises in the UK, on its £106.9 million acquisition of Ridgeway Group (Ridgeway), the Newbury-based motor dealer group.  The acquisition represents the largest motor retail deal that has been completed in the UK for more than 10 years. 

Gowling WLG completes €103 million acquisition for Huhtamaki

Longstanding Gowling WLG client Huhtamaki has entered the folding carton packaging business in Europe following the €103 million acquisition of Belfast-based Delta Print and Packaging (Delta) and its affiliated Polish unit.

Huhtamaki, headquartered in Finland and listed on NASDAQ, is a global specialist in packaging for food and drink with app. 16,000 employees across a network of 71 (now 73) manufacturing units and 23 sales offices in 34 countries. Delta will form part of Huhtamaki's Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment.

King & Wood Mallesons advises Sonae on the acquisition of a 50% stake in Salsa

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Portuguese group Sonae on the acquisition of a 50% stake in IVN – Serviços Partilhados, owner of the clothing brand Salsa.

Established in 1994, Salsa is an international jeanswear brand of Portuguese origin, known for its entrepreneurship and development of innovative denim products. With a presence in over 32 countries, Salsa has a turnover of €106 million, with over half of its sales coming from international markets.
