Allen & Overy LLP has advised a banking syndicate with Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft, SEB AG and UniCredit Bank AG as coordinating banks, mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners and UniCredit Luxembourg S.A. as agent in connection with a syndicated facility agreement with a total amount of EUR 240 million for ALBA Group plc & Co. KG.
ALBA Group has announced its intention to use the funds provided under the credit facilities agreement also for the complete refinancing of its EUR 203 million senior notes due 2018. With its two brands – ALBA and Interseroh – and a total of about 7,500 employees, ALBA Group operates in Germany, Europe and Asia. In 2015, ALBA Group generated an annual turnover of approx. EUR 2.2 billion, making it one of the leading recycling and environmental services companies as well as raw material providers worldwide. In 2015 alone ALBA Group saved almost 5.9 million tonnes of greenhouse gases compared to primary production and at the same time approx. 51.8 million tonnes of primary raw materials through its recycling activities.
