Benchmark Holdings announced 27th July that it has acquired Norwegian-based aquaculture genetics and research company Akvaforsk Genetics Center AS (AFGC) and American based Spring Genetics for a combined total of NOK 140m. The acquisitions strengthen Benchmark’s position as the second largest global player in salmon breeding and genetics industry.

Arntzen de Besche’s team was led by head of M&A Per A. Dagslet, assisted by senior lawyer Gard A. Skogstrom. Additionally partner Espen Sandvik and associates Maria Heiberg Lovik, Pal Arne Reinertsen, Even Naestvold and Bente Langsrud also assisted Benchmark.
