Baker McKenzie acted as legal adviser to National Australia Bank Limited (NAB) in its role as sole arranger and as legal adviser to the syndicate of Joint Lead Managers (which included Crestone Wealth Management, Morgan Stanley, Morgans Financial, Wilsons Corporate Finance, Ord Minnett and Taylor Collison) on the floatation of the L1 Long Short Fund as a listed investment company on the ASX.

The Fund successfully raised A$1.35 billion, making it one of the largest ever investment fund flotations in Australia.

Duncan McGrath acted as lead partner on the transaction. Duncan stated: “It was a privilege to advise NAB and the other JLMs on such a successful and significant transaction.”
