Berwin Leighton Paisner* has advised Allianz Real Estate, on behalf of Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG, on the sale of the landmark property Hanseviertel to CBRE Global Investors.
The Hanseviertel is one of Hamburg’s best-known shopping destinations in the historic city centre. Besides the shopping arcade, the Hanseviertel consists of a 205-room Renaissance Hotel (Marriott Group), 14,400 sq m office space, and 15 residential apartments as well as a public parking garage with 440 parking spaces and further 160 private parking spaces in an additional underground garage and in the courtyard. The property has a combined GLA of approx. 38,850sqm. The famous landmark building Hanseviertel with its unique architecture, a mix of historical buildings and postmodern structures, was developed by Allianz Real Estate at the beginning of the 1980s.
