Charles Russell Speechlys has advised the shareholders of software enabled services provider ETL Factory Limited (trading as Datawave) on its sale to leading global IT services company HCL Technologies.

The company’s innovative ‘Datawave’ data automation platform allow customers to execute large scale, complex data migration and data integration projects in a more efficient and controlled manner.
Mark Butterworth, the CEO of Datawave commented “The level of commitment and drive demonstrated by CRS was exceptional. Their expertise and detailed engagement helped ensure that the right agreement was reached that both achieved the requirements of the shareholders and importantly the ongoing opportunity that a combined entity with HCL will provide.”
Richard Coleman, who led the team at Charles Russell Speechlys, said “We are delighted to have been able to leverage our substantial experience in this sector to assist the Datawave team. We know from our own institutional clients that large organisations are often unable to deal effectively with the volume and variety of data needed to drive digital transformation, so the opportunities afforded to Datawave by combining with HCL are clearly significant”
