International law firm Taylor Wessing congratulates Chint Solar / Astronergy with the start of its first solar park in the Netherlands, in Veendam!

Since 2006 Chint Solar / Astronergy is specialized in the development of large-scale ground-mount grid connected solar plants and the production and application of solar energy products. The company has a strong focus on the Dutch solar market where it’s targeting to develop and build over 500 MW in the upcoming years.

Due to the attractive SDE+ subsidy scheme, foreign investors are highly interested in the possibilities of renewable energy technologies in the Netherlands.

M&A lawyer and Energy expert Nga Yau Wong of Taylor Wessing Netherlands led both the acquisition and the sales of the 15.5 MW solar park, with the support of Maarten van der Zanden (notary), Stijn Rijpma and Alex Korolev (M&A), André van den Brand, Sylvia van Baalen and Claus Bunge (Real Estate).
