Clifford Chance advises Amundi on the acquisition of Kühnehöfe office building in Hamburg

Clifford Chance has advised Amundi Real Estate, Paris, on the acquisition of the "Kühnehöfe" office building in Hamburg for a real estate investment fund from GE Real Estate. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The "Kühnehöfe" building is located in Hamburg's Altona-Bahrenfeld district and its anchor tenants are E.ON and Oracle. The total rental space amounts to approx. 12,000 sqm of residential and office areas.

With managed assets of more than EUR 800 billion, Amundi Real Estate belongs to the world's biggest providers of asset management services.

The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Dr. Gerold Jaeger and comprised associate Dr. Sebastian Schmitt, senior transaction lawyer Anja Roth and transaction lawyer Elmostafa Habib (all Real Estate) as well as partner Dr. Uwe Schimmelschmidt and associate Dr. Dominik Thomer (both Tax) – all Frankfurt.

This is the fifth transaction on which Clifford Chance advised Amundi Real Estate. Last year, a team led by Dr. Gerold Jaeger advised them on the acquisition of the real property "Convent Parc Building" in Hamburg.
