Clifford Chance advised an international banking syndicate in the context of granting a loan facility to GAZPROM Germania GmbH of EUR 500 million. The facility was successfully syndicated despite the difficult market environment. It serves, inter alia, to fund acquisitions.

GAZPROM Germania GmbH is a subsidiary of the world's largest natural gas group GAZPROM, which has its headquarters in Moscow. Since it was established in 1990, GAZPROM Germania GmbH has developed into an international holding company and is pursuing business activities in more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Northern America. GAZPROM Germania GmbH's main areas of activity are natural gas storage and trade as well as supplying natural gas to be used as fuel.
