CMS Hasche Sigle advises Louvre Hotels Group on their market entry in Germany

10 Jul 2014

Berlin – Louvre Hotels Group has purchased – in a joint venture together with the Eurasian Private Equity Fund A CAPITAL – a portfolio of ten hotels from the German affiliates of the French hotel chain Balladins.

Louvre Hotels Group has been advised by a team from CMS Hasche Sigle around the Berlin located real estate lawyers Dr. Andreas Otto and Dr. Jochen Reuter.

Louvre is by their account the second largest European hotel group, which operates more than 1200 hotels in 47 countries and to which the brands Golden Tulip, Tulip Inn, Royal Tulip, Premiere Classe, Campanile and Kyriad belong, During the transaction, all hotels were purchased as well as the real estate on which the hotels are erected as running businesses. Louvre Hotels Group will therefore already continue to operate these hotels as Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn hotels in fall 2014. At the same time, the acquisition means the entry of Louvre Hotels Group into the German hotel market. The hotels are spread all over the territory of Germany and are for instance located in the metropolitan area Frankfurt am Main, in the Rhine-Neckar-area and in the Rhineland.
