Munich—Global law firm Dentons advised French sanitary manufacturer SFA (Société Française d'Assainissement) on the acquisition of Zehnder Pumpen. With this acquisition, SFA intends to strengthen its position in the growing market of sanitary facilities.
Zehnder Pumpen GmbH, based in Grünhain, Saxony, was founded in 1976 and now employs around 250 people. The company produces and develops highly specialised pump technology both for the commercial sector and in the field of building technology. In the course of the transaction, Zehnder Pumpen will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of SFA and will also remain a separate legal entity with its own brand.
SFA was founded in Paris in 1958 and revolutionized the sanitary installation sector with the invention of the so-called “small lifting unit”. Today, SFA sells the complete range of pumps and lifting systems for the private and commercial market worldwide. The company has more than 25 subsidiaries worldwide, including the German subsidiary SFA SANIBROY in Dietzenbach, Hesse, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2017.
A Dentons team led by partner Thomas Strassner fully supported SFA during the transaction.
