Dentons advises ICBC London on landmark financing partnership with Everton Football Club

Dentons is pleased to have advised Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited London Branch (ICBC London), the world's largest bank by total assets, on its agreement with Everton Football Club which will see the bank provide the Premier League Club with a £60 million three-year revolving credit facility. The deal represents the first time ICBC London has provided funding to a Premier League Club.

Everton will use the funding to manage its working capital requirements throughout the season. The deal was signed on 30 June 2017 following approval from the Premier League.

Dentons Banking and Finance partner Catherine Astruc, who led on the deal, added, "We are delighted to have worked with ICBC London on agreeing this landmark credit facility with Everton. This funding will give Everton increased financial flexibility, as well as sustainable long-term capital, and the deal highlights the growing reputation and standing of ICBC in the UK."
