London—Dentons has advised NYX Gaming Group, the TSX-V listed premier digital gaming supplier, on its acquisition of Betdigital, a UK-based developer of content and systems for online, mobile, interactive TV and land-based gaming platforms, for a total cash consideration of up to £24.5 million.
This is the second completed acquisition for NYX in seven days, and follows its £270 million acquisition of leading online sports betting platform provider OpenBet, which closed on 20 May 2016, a deal on which Dentons also advised. That high profile transaction brought together two of the world's most established digital gaming suppliers, and built on NYX's commitment to deliver premium end-to-end gaming solutions to clients in regulated gaming markets across the globe.
The Dentons team comprised UK Head of Corporate and co-Chair of Global M&A David Collins, corporate senior associate Joseph Altendorff, and corporate associate Rachael Dixon; TMT partner Anna Copeman, senior associate Henrietta Baker, associates Danielle van der Merwe and Sarah Tonna; banking partner Lee Federman and associate Nicola Balmer; and tax partner Andrew Thornton and associate Nicola Simmons.
David Collins said, "We are delighted to have worked with NYX Gaming Group on another UK acquisition, which helps further solidify NYX's position in the B2B digital gaming market. NYX's continued growth and expansion gives them one of the largest portfolios of content and technology, benefitting both their customers and shareholders."
