Global law firm Dentons has advised Paracelsus-Kliniken Deutschland GmbH & Co. KGaA on its restructuring in the context of insolvency proceedings in self-administration, and its sale to Porterhouse Health AG. In coordination with the self-administration and the administrator, Dr. Rainer Eckert, the creditors' committee of Paracelsus-Kliniken Deutschland has unanimously supported the transfer agreement with Porterhouse Health and the submission of the insolvency plan.
The insolvency plan drawn up in cooperation with Porterhouse will be submitted to the Local Court Osnabrück before the end of April 2018. The plan provides for the payment of a capital contribution by Porterhouse in order to serve the creditors.
The Paracelsus group is one of the largest private hospital companies in Germany with approximately 40 facilities at 22 locations. Nationwide, the groups 5,200 employees care for more than 100,000 inpatients per year.

Fritz together with Reinhard Wichels, an expert in hospital restructuring, as the general authorized representatives for the Parcelsus group. The M&A procedure, initiated in January 2018, attracted numerous bidders from Germany and abroad.
