DLA Piper represented ABRY Partners, a private equity firm that focuses on media, communications,  business and information services companies, in its sale of Datapipe, one of the world's leading providers of managed services across public and private clouds, managed hosting and colocation, to Rackspace and its controlling shareholder, alternative investment manager Apollo Global Management.

The acquisition is the largest in Rackspace's history and makes Rackspace the leading provider of managed public cloud services and expands its managed hosting and private cloud capabilities. Rackspace will begin integration of Datapipe immediately.
