DLA Piper has advised Schlemmer Group on the acquisition of two companies, Tubicor and Tubecraft, located in the Indian Union Territory of Puducherry, for an undisclosed amount. With this acquisition, which followed the opening of Schlemmer Technology India, the company has increased its total number of production sites worldwide to 25. The Schlemmer Group is now represented on one of the most densely populated and largest growth markets in the world with two of its own production sites.

The Schlemmer Group is one of the leading value added partners in fastening technology and plastic solutions. The company develops, produces and sells matured systems for the Automotive, Industry and Appliances divisions. Schlemmer's portfolio is wide-ranging, spanning from corrugated tube extrusion, through to precision injection moulding. The company has production facilities all over the world and is headquartered in the Bavarian Poing, Germany.

The core activities of the company's operations in India will also include the production of corrugated tubes and highly specialized plastic parts with the injection moulding process.
