Eversheds has advised UK managed IT services provider GCI on its acquisition of Outsourcery’s asset base under a pre-packaged sale process.
Outsourcery, a company co-founded by former Dragon's Den star Piers Linney, was sold for an undisclosed sum following the appointment of administrators on 16 June. The team, led by Eversheds’ Mark Wood, Restructuring Partner and head of the firm’s Nottingham-based company commercial practice group, comprised: principal associates Sam Bhachu (real estate) Rachel Cooper (commercial); senior associates Vanessa Challenger (employment) and Doug Highet (restructuring); and associate Tom Goff (corporate).
Anna Clarke, Group Legal Counsel, GCI said: “Eversheds partnered with us and provided us with fantastic support throughout the transaction process.”
Mark Wood added: “We’re pleased to have been able to support GCI on this important acquisition. This was a very carefully considered and strategic move by GCI and one which will, no doubt, complement their plans for further growth.”
