GÖRG Assists Vitrolife to Acquire World Leaders in IVF Laser Technology

[Berlin, 2016-06-22] GÖRG assisted Swedish Vitrolife AB (publ) on its recent acquisition of 100% of the shares in German-based OCTAX Microscience GmbH (“OCTAX”) and MTG Medical Technology Vertriebs-GmbH. Vitrolife thereby strengthens its market position and broadens its product portfolio within a growth segment of IVF.

Founded in 1994 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Vitrolife is a global company contributing products in the in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) sector. Its mission is to support customers to achieve successful diagnostic and treatment outcomes by providing valued solutions and services for assisted reproduction. Vitrolife has locations in more than 10 countries globally and has sales in over 110 countries. It is a recognised market leader and conducts extensive research and development in the IVF field. Vitrolife’s shares are listed on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, Nordic Mid Cap.

GÖRG was instructed by Swedish Advokatfirman Lindahl (Partner Olof Thorsell and team, Gothenburg), acting as Vitrolife’s regular transactions counsel. GÖRG’s Berlin-based team consisted of experts in Corporate/M&A, Healthcare/Regulatory, Labour and Employment and IP.
