Haufe Group takes over advisory platform KLAITON

24 Sep 2018

The German Haufe Group acquires a majority holding in the successful Austrian advisory platform KLAITON Advisory GmbH.

KLAITON specializes in assisting companies to find the most suitable business consultants and coaches through its online platform. The platform was founded by Tina Deutsch and Nikolaus Schmidt, two former consultants of excellent reputation. Originally rooted in the publishing business, the Haufe Group, which is based in the German Bundesland Baden-Württemberg, has increasingly focused on the areas education and training as well as digital services during the last decades. Among Haufe's most well-known trademarks are the financial software Lexware and the HR Talent Suite Umantis.

The investment marks the start of a new period of growth in which KLAITON will cover the new business segment of coaching in Germany. KLAITON's two founders will remain shareholders and managing partners. Signing and closing of the transaction took place on August 30.

Legal advice for KLAITON was provided by the international law firm Baker McKenzie. The team surrounding Vienna partner Wendelin Ettmayer had already advised the two founders four years ago in connection with KLAITON's incorporation as well as subsequent financing rounds.

KLAITON thus joins the rank of many other successful companies like iMAGOTAG, Intact or cyberGRID that rely on Baker McKenzie Vienna for legal advice in connection with growth financing.
