Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek has advised funds advised by Maj Invest Equity, Denmark, on the acquisition of D.A.M. Neue Deutsche Angelgeräte Manufaktur Int. GmbH, Georgsmünd (D.A.M.).

D.A.M. is a German-based supplier of sport fishing tackle. The 140 year-old company is one of the oldest established suppliers of sport fishing tackle in the world and represents an extremely strong brand in German-speaking markets and in Eastern Europe. Together with D.A.M. Maj Invest has acquired Svendsen Sport A/S, also a leading supplier of sport fishing tackle.

The transaction has already been closed. As agreed between the parties, the purchase price of the transaction was not disclosed.

With a total commitment of approx. DKK 8.5 billion, more than 25 portfolio companies and 15 investment employees, Maj Invest Equity is a leading private equity player in Denmark.
