IBM’s Acquisition of Silverpop

On April 10, 2014, IBM announced a definitive agreement to acquire Silverpop, a privately held software company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Silverpop empowers marketers with cloud-based capabilities that deliver personalized customer engagements in highly scalable environments. Cravath represented IBM in connection with this transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory clearance and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2014. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
