Kirkland & Ellis is representing Midea International Corporation Company Limited (the offeror), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Midea Group Co., Ltd. (000333.SZ), on its proposed US$237 million privatization of Welling Holding Limited (HKSE: 382) by way of a scheme of arrangement.

The Kirkland team is led by Hong Kong corporate partners Nicholas Norris and Joey Chau.

Kirkland also advised on two other Hong Kong privatizations this year, including the privatization offer of the H-shares of Shandong Luoxin Pharmaceutical Group and the US$6.8 billion privatization of Belle International Holdings, on which both Nicholas Norris and Joey Chau advised.
