The commercial law firm Noerr advised DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and NRW.BANK on acquisition financing. In a strategic acquisition, Leonard Moll AG took over the Techno-Physik group, one of the world's leading providers of systems for high-end insulation and fire protection products. The sellers in the deal include the holding company Finatem.

With the transaction, the banks provide Leonard Moll AG and the Techno-Physik group with new lines of credit. These are to be used to finance some of the purchase price and the transaction costs as well as to discharge the Techno-Physik group's current financial obligations. Headquartered in Essen, the group of companies was taken over by Finatem in 2010 and developed into the world's only supplier of a complete line of vermiculite insulation and fire protection products. The group includes Techno-Physik Engineering GmbH in Essen as well as its subsidiaries Mineralka d.o.o. (Slovenia) and Hoffmann Wärmedämmtechnik GmbH.
