Nabarro advises Indutrade on four strategic UK acquisitions

24 Jul 2014

Nabarro has advised Swedish engineering giant Indutrade on four, strategically significant acquisitions. CRP, Micro Spring and Pressworks, Birmingham Specialities and ALH Systems have all been acquired by Indutrade over the last two months to strengthen its UK market position. Nabarro has worked closely with Indutrade advising throughout the execution of their acquisition strategy. These transactions follow on from two acquisitions carried out in the UK and Ireland in 2013 on which Nabarro also advised.

Indutrade makes components, systems and services and is organised into five business areas: engineering and equipment, flow technology, fluids and mechanical solutions, industrial components and special products. The new acquisitions will be part of Indutrade’s special products business division.

The Nabarro team advising was led by Head of Corporate Iain Newman, assisted by Corporate associates, Gordon Anton and Sioned Bates, Property senior associates, David Crossley and Neil Dryer, Employment senior associate Sarah Gill and Pensions partner, Anne-Marie Winton and Pensions associate, Chris Ransom.

Claes Hjalmarson, Indutrade Group Controller commented:

“The Nabarro team have done an excellent job in helping us to complete these transactions in the desired timescale.  They provide a top-quality, professional, calm and commercial service which suits our needs perfectly.”

Commenting on the acquisitions, Corporate partner Iain Newman said:

“Nabarro is pleased to continue our involvement in building Indutrade’s portfolio and helping them to consolidate their position as a leader in their business areas. These acquisitions are closely aligned with Indutrade’s business philosophy of carefully considered acquisitions to improve business profitability. We look forward to assisting on future strategic purchases.”
