Norton Rose Fulbright advises AnaCap on its buyout of AssurOne Group, a leading French digital broker dedicated to personal insurance
Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised AnaCap Financial Partners (“AnaCap”), the specialist European financial services private equity firm, on its successful buyout of AssurOne Group, a leading French digital insurance broker specialising in the online distribution and management of personal insurance products, including motor and home policies. Under the terms of the deal, funds advised by AnaCap and AssurOne’s management team have acquired 100% of AssurOne Group from financial investors Seventure Partners and Bpifrance, who have supported the growth of the business since 2006 and 2008 respectively.
AssurOne Group is one of the leading online brokers in France. The transaction presents an opportunity for AnaCap to invest in the French insurance broking market via a strong platform and to capitalise on the significant anticipated shift towards digitalisation expected over the coming years.
Norton Rose Fulbright advised AnaCap on the acquisition and equity arrangements and their team was led by corporate partners Richard Bull (London) and Bénédicte Denis (Paris), both of whom were supported by Andrew Houghton and Diane Odier.
This is Norton Rose Fulbright’s second transaction for AnaCap this quarter having also advised them on the £127m recommended cash offer for Brightside Group plc. The team on this transaction was led by corporate partners Richard Bull and Paul Whitelock, supported by corporate associates Nic Sirtoli and Matthew Foster and incentives partner Monique Fry.
