Norton Rose Fulbright advises Aviko on the acquisition of a majority stake in German food producer Amberger

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Aviko, a company of the Dutch agro-industrial group Royal Cosun, on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Bavarian family-owned business Amberger. This investment further strengthens Aviko’s position in the German and Austrian food service market.

Aviko is one of the largest potato processing companies in the world and one of the global market leaders in chilled fries.

The Bavarian family-owned business Amberger specialises in the production of high-quality fresh potato products as well as gourmet and pasta products, with the foodservice business being its prime market.

Aviko’s holding company Royal Cosun is a long-standing client of Norton Rose Fulbright in Hamburg. A team, led by corporate partner Klaus von Gierke, regularly advises the group in various corporate and commercial matters.
