Norton Rose Fulbright has assisted BNP Paribas on a €180Mm long term project financing for the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Enel Green Power France SAS, a portfolio of 13 wind farms with a total capacity of around 196 MW.
The portfolio is located in seven regions in France including 12 farms in operation and one under construction. BNP Paribas has granted a €180m non-recourse term loan to which €25m could be added, upon the satisfaction of certain conditions by Boralex within the 12-month period following the acquisition. The innovative financing has been structured and fully underwritten by BNP Paribas.
This portfolio acquisition makes Boralex a leading independent wind power producer in France.
