Dechert LLP assisted Orange Business Services in its acquisition of Enovacom, a leading healthcare software company, on behalf of subsidiary Orange Healthcare. This acquisition is a key element of Orange Healthcare’s strategy to be a main partner in the digital transformation of healthcare institutions and players in France and abroad.
Enovacom, established in Marseille in 2002, is a French software publisher dedicated to e-health. A leader in the sector and an expert in interoperability, Enovacom solutions are found in more than 1,500 global healthcare institutions. Specifically, Enovacom software is used to manage and secure hospitals’ electronic exchanges with their various partners.
This acquisition is an important step in Orange Healthcare’s growth. Beyond its certified healthcare data infrastructure and hosting solutions, Orange Healthcare aims to develop innovative solutions that will enable healthcare players to communicate with each other as well as remain in contact with patients throughout their treatment. The digitalization and streamlining of healthcare is a major issue to face the industry and it is for this reason that Orange Business Services chose to invest in Enovacom. The company’s neutral position enables Orange Business Services to interface with all market stakeholders.
The Paris-based team advising Orange Business Services was led by partner François Hellot and associate Guillaume Briant, alongside M&A associates Aude Steinberg and Vianney Toulouse; employment partner Philippe Thomas and associates Thibault Meiers and Victoria Hamel; data privacy associates Sabrina Chekroun and Sophie Montagne; regulatory national partner Sophie Pelé and associate Jessica Garestier; intellectual property partner Marianne Schaffner and associates Pierre-Olivier Ally and Colin Devinant; and, corporate associates Sophie Lafay and Emmanuelle Benvenuti.
