King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin has hired two new partners in Milan, Giancarlo Castorino and Andrea Nicodemi to boost the Finance department and create a new Employment practice.
The new partners will be joining the firm with a team of seven lawyers, which brings the total number of lawyers in the Milan office to 22.
Giancarlo Castorino’s task will be to extend the services of the Finance department to the banking and debt restructuring areas, areas in which he has gained significant experience at both in Italy and at an international level.
Giancarlo comes to the firm from d’Urso Gatti e Bianchi law firm; he was formerly a partner in MBL & Partners and at Allen & Overy, where he was head of the Italian Banking department from 1999 to 2007.
Joining the firm along with Giancarlo are Francesco Romeo, Pierandrea Bonali, Nicoletta Curcio and Marcello Legrottaglie, all from d’Urso Gatti e Bianchi.
Andrea Nicodemi, who will head the newly created Employment department, has a great deal of experience in the Employment sector. From 2004 to the present, he was in charge of the Employment department at CBA Legal & Tax Consultancy, and before that he worked for KLegal and at Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners.
Andrea’s new team will be formed by Gianvito Riccio, Karima Hayatoun and Tiziana Bianco.
