Shearman & Sterling Advises Underwriters in American Tower Corporation’s $1 Billion Senior Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented the underwriters, led by Barclays, BBVA, Mizuho Securities, RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities as joint bookrunning managers, in connection with an offering of $1 billion aggregate principal amount of 3.375% senior notes due 2026 by American Tower Corporation.

American Tower Corporation is a leading independent owner, operator and developer of wireless and broadcast communications real estate with a portfolio of over 143,000 communications sites, including wireless and broadcast towers located in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, South Africa and Uganda. American Tower Corporation plans to use the proceeds to repay existing indebtedness under its senior unsecured revolving credit facility entered into in June 2013.
