Squire Patton Boggs has advised Mobusi Mobile Advertising S.L., the leading mobile advertising company in Spain and one of the leaders in Europe, on the acquisition of Sun Media, an advertising company specializing in digital marketing.
Madrid-based Mobusi, with an annual turnover of €65 million and more than 170 employees, began its international expansion two years ago and now has offices in Mexico City, Singapore and Los Angeles. Sun Media specializes in the comprehensive management of digital video advertising and the development of solutions and applications in digital environments including online, tablet, mobile and smart TV. It is one of the fastest growing companies in multiscreen video, video pre-roll and outstream advertising. The company has more than 600 million videos integrated per month and a daily coverage of more than 4 million unique users in Spain.
With this acquisition of Sun Media, Mobusi will strengthen its dominance in the advertising space in the two fastest growing areas of the digital market, particularly mobile and video advertising. According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau, in 2015 investment in mobile advertising grew 82% in Spain, and video advertising grew by 65.6%.
