Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised venture capital firm Augmentum Capital on the successful IPO of its first listed investment fund.

The new investment trust, Augmentum Fintech plc, raised £94 million. Its shares were admitted to the premium listing segment of the Official List of the FCA and to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on 13 March 2018.

The company will invest in a focussed portfolio of fast growing and/or high potential private financial services technology businesses based predominantly in the UK and wider Europe. As part of the IPO it acquired an initial portfolio of fintech investments from RIT Capital Partners plc, the investment trust chaired by Lord Jacob Rothschild.

The Stephenson Harwood team, which advised on all the UK legal and regulatory issues regarding the transaction and the acquisition, was led by corporate partner Liz Field.  She was supported by corporate associates Nick Horton and Victoria Silver.
