Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Labregah Real Estate Company Q.S.C. on the sale of Barwa City Real Estate Company LLC to the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), the national pension fund of the state of Qatar. The transaction closed on September 29, 2014.

Barwa City Real Estate Company is the owner of a large scale mixed use commercial and residential real estate project in Doha, Qatar. The fully functioning development has around 25,000 residents and includes more than 120 apartment blocks, four primary and two secondary schools, shopping malls and other community facilities.

The White & Case team which advised on the deal was led by partners Michiel Visser (Doha) and Campbell Steedman (UAE) with support from associates Charbel Abou Charaf, Robbie Nakarmi (both Doha), Ali Shaikley and Chris McQuillan (both UAE).
