Matheson Advises Hines and APG on Recent Procurement

Matheson recently advised Hines and its partner APG in relation to the procurement of €80,900,000 financing from Wells Fargo Bank for the development of the TC2 residential plot at Cherrywood, Co Dublin.  The development will involve the construction of two five and six storey blocks containing 384 apartments, associated common areas and communal facilities to include a fitness centre, crèche, and retail units, as well as the necessary infrastructure works.

Ashurst advises on second phase of EF Kosmos refinancing

Irwin Mitchell Advises Developer On £55 Million Pound Finance Facility For Old Trafford Apartment Scheme

Development In Iconic Location To Go Ahead

 

National law firm Irwin Mitchell’s Banking and Finance and Construction departments have assisted developer Cole Waterhouse in securing a  £55 million finance facility enabling it to build a 354 residential apartment scheme close to the home ground of Manchester United.

 

The funding was secured from Fortwell Capital and will enable the construction of the development with completion due in the first quarter of 2021.

 

WFW advises Investec on construction financing of subsidy-free 34.7MW tracker solar photovoltaic project

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Investec Bank plc (“Investec”) on the construction financing for a 34.7MW solar photovoltaic project near York. The loan documentation was signed on 22 February.

 

The project, which will be constructed by GRIDSERVE WBC Ltd (a subsidiary of GRIDSERVE EMEA Projects Ltd), has a co-located battery and will be fully subsidy-free. Following completion, the project will be sold to Warrington Borough Council to support its green agenda and save on electricity costs.

 

WFW advises Cubico on £272m UK renewables portfolio refinancing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised long-standing client Cubico Sustainable Investments (“Cubico”) on the £272m refinancing of its 200 MW UK renewables portfolio, comprising 17 onshore wind and solar PV projects across the country. All of the projects in the portfolio, a mixture of ROC accredited and Feed-in Tariff projects, are fully operational and reached commercial operation between 2013-2016

 

White & Case Advises Neoen and Prokon on Finnish Onshore Wind Farm

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Hedet vindpark AB, a company owned by Neoen and Prokon, on the project financing of the 81MW, 18 turbine Hedet onshore wind farm in Finland.

The senior debt for the financing is provided by KfW IPEX-Bank and SEB. The wind farm will be located across the municipality of Närpesin in western Finland. Google signed a ten-year power purchase agreement in July 2018 for all the electricity produced by Hedet.

WFW advises KfW IPEX-Bank on financing of “La Granja Solar” Chilean photovoltaic project

Watson Farley & Williams ("WFW") has advised KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH ("KfW IPEX-Bank") on the US$91m financing for the Granja Solar photovoltaic project near Pozo Almonte in northern Chile. The loan documentation was signed in December 2018.

"La Granja Solar" was developed by Spain's Getxo headquartered Solarpack Corporacion Tecnologica, S.A., which will also be building, owning and operating the project. Following completion, Granja Solar will have a total installed capacity of 123 MWp.

Milbank Advises Athens International Airport on Landmark Financing for Concession Extension

Milbank LLP advised Athens International Airport S.A. (“AIA”), as issuer of up to €665.6 million bond loans in connection with the 20-year extension of the original concession granted to manage and operate Athens International Airport pursuant to the Airport Development Agreement dated 31 July 1995 (as amended, the “ADA”). National Bank of Greece S.A. and Piraeus Bank S.A. acted as, amongst other roles, joint underwriters and mandated lead arrangers.

WFW advises lenders on “Malaspina” Argentine onshore wind project financing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised a syndicate of lenders comprising Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau and Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden N.V., as well as KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH as arranger and agent, on the US$104m financing of the “Malaspina” onshore wind farm project located in the southern Argentine province of Chubut. The loan documentation was signed in December 2018, with the transaction closing in January 2019.

This project is being developed by a subsidiary of EdgeConneX Inc., a US-based data center company. EdgeConneX is specialized in worldwide solutions for edge-network datacenters. The project will be funded through a mix of equity, an equity bridge loan and senior project financing debt.
Clifford Chance provided advise to a syndicate of banks consisting of ABN AMRO Bank N.V., ING Bank N.V., Banco Santander S.A., and Natixis.
