White & Case Advises Labregah Real Estate Company on Sale of Barwa City Real Estate Company to National Pension Fund of Qatar

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Labregah Real Estate Company Q.S.C. on the sale of Barwa City Real Estate Company LLC to the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), the national pension fund of the state of Qatar. The transaction closed on September 29, 2014.

Simpson Thacher recently represented CBRE Group, Inc. in connection with the offering of $300 million aggregate principal amount of 5.25% Senior Notes due 2025 (the “Notes”).  The Notes were issued by CBRE Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CBRE Group, Inc., and are guaranteed by CBRE Group, Inc. and the subsidiaries that guarantee its senior secured credit facility.  The Notes are being offered pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement that CBRE Group, Inc.

Linklaters has advised Emaar Malls Group (EMG), the leading owner and operator of shopping malls in Dubai, and its parent company, Emaar Properties, on EMG’s IPO, the second largest ever in the United Arab Emirates. The initial sale of shares were priced at the top of the proposed range amid huge demand from investors, making it the largest stock offer in a Gulf Arab economy since 2008.

DWF advises First Industrial on new build warehouse at Advanced Manufacturing Hub, Aston

Hydraulic manufacturing company HydraForce will become the first tenant at Birmingham's Advanced Manufacturing Hub. Business law firm DWF advised the developers, First Industrial, in relation to the Development Agreement and construction documentation for the new 120,000 sq ft factory, which should be ready to move into by August 2015 and which will bring with it approximately 280 new jobs by 2018. 

Shoosmiths real estate team advises on 130 Colmore Row restaurant move

Jason Jackson and Catherine Hood of national law firm Shoosmiths in Birmingham have acted for the landlord and their advisors on the let of 130 Colmore Row in the city centre.

The landmark building, on the corner of Colmore Row and Waterloo Street, overlooking Victoria Square, was previously owned by Birmingham City Council.

It was purchased by a Chinese-led consortium, with the assistance of Birmingham property developers Court Collaboration and local lawyer James Ng, in a multi-million pound deal in February of this year.

Clifford Chance advises Amundi on the acquisition of Kühnehöfe office building in Hamburg

Clifford Chance has advised Amundi Real Estate, Paris, on the acquisition of the "Kühnehöfe" office building in Hamburg for a real estate investment fund from GE Real Estate. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The "Kühnehöfe" building is located in Hamburg's Altona-Bahrenfeld district and its anchor tenants are E.ON and Oracle. The total rental space amounts to approx. 12,000 sqm of residential and office areas.
